Care Assistant Training

This course is fashioned to meet the needs of vulnerable adults in our society and also to suit the aspirations of those who have that caring heart to offer such health and social care services in order to achieve an excellent state of well-being of their clients.

The Care Assistant and Auxiliary Nurse training is a two-in-one training which combines adaptability (to care work) with excellent nursing content to build a solid foundation for those who desire to advance to the nursing profession. It shares the same course content as well with the externally warded National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 or Diploma Level2 training in health and social care but at the foundation level.

This course is highly recommended for those who urgently want to get into the Care field without the delay of pursuing the NVQ or Diploma Level 2 which could dauntingly take up to 10 months. It is a short course which meets their objectives.

Course runs for 1 to 2 weeks, commencing every other Monday and designed in two modules : (A)Theory & (B) Practical.

FEES : A competitive fee of Two Hundred Pounds only (£200) is charged. Please contact us for any further queries.

SUPPORT WORKER TRAINING (Mental Health & Learning Disabilities)

The complexity of today’s society is taking a new dimension with a lot more people developing one form of mental health problem or another, running from common sleeping disorders through manic depressive psychosis, schizophrenia, even paranoia and drug/alcohol abuse.

There are also those with Learning Difficulties who have far greater support needs than the rest of the population. From Autism to Dyslexia, through Cerebral Palsy, Dementia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Asperger’s Syndrome, Epilepsy and Down’s Syndrome, the needs are enormous, the challenges are daunting and the support approaches are different.

Presently, not enough hands are on deck to give this assistance.

This is why we have fashioned this course to train interested individuals to fit into this healthcare field.

Course runs for THREE weeks commencing on the first Monday of each month and is of TWO Modules : (A)Theory & (B) Practical.

Theory

This is for ONE and HALF weeks and includes subjects which prepare you for the Mental Healthcare & Learning Disabilities practical learning process (2 hours each day – 10.00a.m. -12.00noon)

Practical

The last ONE and HALF weeks will be spent gaining some practical work experience in a mental healthcare setting. It is designed to offer you that desired experience in order to make what you have learnt in theory come alive in you. This will be carried out under the tutelage of qualified personnel in these places. You need 60 hours for the practical, split into 6 hours each day at the end of which you will be assessed.
