The law underpinning this training is the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASAWA).

CERTIFICATE IN SUPERVISING HEALTH AND SAFETY

This will be a 3-day course.

The Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) 1974 imposes a general duty on employers, owners of premises, suppliers to ensure that their workplaces are safe and present no risk to health.

The law does not expect you to eliminate all risks but requires you to protect people as far as ‘reasonably practicable’.

MANUAL HANDLING LEVEL 2 FOUNDATION AND UPDATE

This course is intended for any one involved in lifting, pushing or pulling of any sort in the workplace.

We have fashioned it in line with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guideline and it covers one full day.

Our course content includes :

  • Definition of Manual Handling
  • Understanding body’s anatomy
  • Common Manual Handling injuries
  • Causes of back pain
  • Body posturing
  • Assessment and lifting
  • Body Movement Rules and Good Techniques
  • Practical lifting examples

COURSE FEE is £ 80 (inclusive). Group (maximum 10 candidates) is £ 480.

MOVING & HANDLING – TRAIN THE TRAINER

This is a 3-day course at the end of which candidate would be proficient to deliver the Level 2 Award.

COURSE FEE is £ 950 for a group of 6 candidates maximum.

EMERGENCY AID FOR APPOINTED PERSONS

This is a 1-day course.

COURSE FEE is £ 80 (inclusive). Course material plus certificate and refreshment is £ 15.

A Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ) will be issued at the end of the course.

This is a 3-day course which enables candidate to deliver the Emergency Aid for Appointed person’s training.

FOOD HYGIENE TRAINING

We offer Food Hygiene courses at 3 levels :

LEVEL 2 AWARD IN FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING

This is a 1-day course with examination at the end of the day.

COURSE FEE is £ 65 (Inclusive). Course material plus exam fee and light refreshment is £ 20.

LEVEL 3 AWARD IN FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING

This is a 3-day course with examination at the end.

COURSE FEE is £ 350 (Inclusive). Course material plus exam fee and light refreshment is £ 55.

LEVEL 4 AWARD IN FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING

This is a 5-day course (contact time with candidate is 40 hours) with examination and 2 assignments requirement.

COURSE FEE is £ 600 (Inclusive). Course material plus exam fee and light refreshment is £ 75.

TAQA/CAVA LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN ASSESSING CANDIDATES USING A RANGE OF METHODS (TAQA AWARDS)

This certificate now called Training Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) Award now replaces the A1/B1/B2 and V1/V2 Awards. It is to train assessors and those carrying out quality assurance to attain requisite and current quality assurance standards alongside competence required to deliver these functions.

Course entails the planning of a programme of development and assessment with their assessor and compilation of a portfolio of evidence to show that they are competent and have adequate knowledge in their work role. It is designed to give the candidate skills and abilities to assess programmes using a range of methods. It also provides people who carry out internal quality assurance roles in their organisation the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for that role.

Award is suitable for those who want to work as:

  • Assessors, Teachers, Trainers, Tutors
  • Quality Assurance/Internal Verifiers and Support Staff
  • Assurance Managers and Internal Verifiers in the Workplace Training Industry.

Duration of course is between 3 and 18 months and requires candidates to possess a Level 3 NVQ or equivalence.

THE NEED

CTLLS is an award which is fashioned for candidates from a variety of vocational backgrounds who seek an introduction to teaching or may already be in a teaching role without a teaching qualification or altogether have no prior teaching experience.

The award offers a robust introduction to the role and responsibilities of the teacher, trainer or tutor and is designed as the minimum requirement for those wishing to deliver education to the over 16 years old.

Award is suitable for workplace assessors providing course instruction and underpinning knowledge for work and vocational qualifications.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Award is a single unit with six (6) credits (QCF) and it is a Level 3 qualification which is the foundation towards the licensed practitioner status – ATLS or QTLS.

COURSE FEE is £ 820.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a 4-day course which is designed to give 30 contact hours with the candidate. Our 4-day delivery is spread over 4 Saturdays of the month with course running every month.

Candidates will also be involved in one 30 minutes micro-teaching session which will be observed and assessed by a member of the delivery team and other candidates.
